Built for kids. Run by parents.
DrawMore is designed so a child can use it freely while a parent stays firmly in charge of what's collected, shared, or kept.
Last updated: 2026-05-08.
The short version
- Under-13 profiles are private to the parent's account. They never appear in any public gallery.
- We collect the minimum we need: a display name (you choose) and a broad age band.
- Parents can review, export, or delete everything in the app, anytime.
Our standard
We design for COPPA in the United States and the comparable kid-safety expectations in other places we ship — the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code, plus the kid-protection rules in Canada, Australia, and the EU. When jurisdictions disagree, we follow whichever rule is stricter for the child.
What a child profile contains
- A display name. You, the parent, choose it; it doesn't need to be the child's real name (in fact, we'd rather it wasn't).
- An age band — 5–7, 8–10, or 11–12. Never an exact birthday.
- Their sketchbook: drawings the child has made or generated inside DrawMore.
- A pseudonymous internal ID. Never tied to email, address, or device IMEI.
What we don't collect on child accounts
The list below isn't a "we'll only ask for these things sometimes" — we never collect any of it on a child profile.
- No exact birthday.
- No real name (display name is freeform and parent-set).
- No phone number, address, school, or other contact info.
- No biometrics.
- No precise location. We don't even ask for coarse location.
Who can see a child's drawings
- The child themselves, in their own sketchbook.
- The parent who owns the account.
- Other adults the parent explicitly grants access to — for example, "share with grandma".
- Nobody else by default. Publishing to the public gallery is off by default for under-13 profiles and requires the parent to enable it. Even then, the child profile is shown only by handle — never by name or age band.
Moderation
Every guide that touches the public gallery passes through automated safety checks and a human moderator. Reports from any user route directly to a small moderation team that reviews within 24 hours, with a much faster path for anything safety-critical.
Verifiable parental consent
We use a parent-pays-and-confirms model: a card payment or app-store receipt linked to an adult account is treated as verifiable parental consent, in line with FTC guidance. If you'd prefer a different consent path, write to us and we'll work it out.
Parental rights
At any time, a parent can do all of the following from inside the app:
- Review every drawing, every prompt, and every generation in the child's profile.
- Export everything as a PDF or zip.
- Delete the profile, which immediately removes the child's data from our active systems. A 30-day backup tail then expires it permanently.
How to contact us
- Email: privacy@drawmore.ai
- Postal: [POSTAL ADDRESS TBD].
- We respond to verifiable parent requests within 7 days.
